Used Computer Sale
IU Southeast Computer Services occasionally offers used computer equipment for sale. When these sales take place, they will be advertised here, so be sure to check back frequently for the latest information on equipment and system types available.
Software Deals
IU has negotiated substantial discounts with many software vendors. These discounts are available for Students, Faculty, and Staff and are for the full product, not a special "light" version with some features disabled. An example of what is available is the Microsoft agreement that makes most Microsoft products available for $5.00 per CD. If a Microsoft product is sold on 3 CDs it only will cost $15.00 plus sales tax. What you don't get at this price is manuals and free phone support from the maker of the software.
Hardware Deals
IU has negotiated substantial discounts with selected hardware vendors for selected products. These discounts are available for Students, Faculty, and Staff. Hardware that is not part of one of the "IU Packages" is not discounted at the same rate as the "package deals". Ziff-Davis offers unbiased reviews of the latest hardware and software available. This is a good place to see if the product you are thinking about buying did well in comparison to other products it is in competition with.
